…but without a tail, how will people know he is happy?
Races of Middle Earth - Character - bentllama
see? now THAT is logic at work.
how will he sit? bah…
happiness is much important than sitting…besides he can use his tail as a chair!
…
but without a tail, how will people know he is happy?
my friend had a dog that would try to hump your leg when it was happy !
i will get to em this weekend and tonight…
the “moose” will get started tomorrow…
the “ewok” will be finished tonight [if I end up feeling alright]…check him out by hitting my animation link in my signature…he will be lo res though…just done for anim challenge
Found the animation thread with the link…I’ll have to keep an eye out for both. Did you try Lluis Llobera’s Maya character rig on the troll he put in the 10 sec files? Heard some good comments about it. I’ll keep a look out this weekend for more on the “moose”.
BUMPITY BUMP!
Where’s Bullwinkle? I’m thinking people are feeling abused. Look at all the pics Leigh, (another mod i might add) has posted on her progress…yet here we can’t even get a look at the creature…hehe…
cannot post what doesn’t even exist yet
i actually have time to start on it today…
update soon
Alright, it’s almost to another weekend and no update…I didn’t want to do this but I guess I’m gonna have to…
Post some progress or the monkey gets it!
Instead of modelling the “Vendiir” [or the moose as bluecougar here calls it]…I am modelling the Munro…here is the character’s backstory…
The Munro, a race created by Tulkas the Valar to amuse him with contests of strength. A nomadic race that has been witnessed in the steep foothills and highlands of Middle Earth to the peaks of the Misty Mountain itself. A hearty and powerhouse of a creature with average intelligence, standing 8 feet tall, the Munro appear to be some kind of kilted, Bison-Bear-Man hybrid, bred purely for stalwartness. The Munro are a peaceful race until provoked, then with the might of 100 men the toss their hammers into battle, weilding large Claymores halving enemies in a blink of an eye.
the reason I am not modelling the Vendiir is due to the animation challenge…I am going to do an animation with this character, so I thought why not kill 2 birds with one stone…the only drawback is that I an modelling this creature to roughly fit an existing skeleton/rig [though I am sure I will vastly change the proportions :)]
without further procrastination [hey work has been keeping me busy ;)] here is the first pass at ROUGH geometry, minus the head, kilt, weapon, etc…
noted changes:
I am changing the feet [I hate them right now], changing the hands a bit to make em meatier…gonna make him more sturdy and have a higher body fat index…oh, and nipples too…

comments and crits welcome as always…

Nice start bentlama…I like the overall promised size and girth. I hope you can find a way to fit this beast as is with your existing rig, at least for the most part.
Also the storyline you provided is a good one,it sounds like it belongs in Middle Earth. An animation sounds fun and interesting as well. I am looking forward to your progress. Here's to you finding that extra time to get it done. :)
Great Idea Bent, I’m looking forward to seeing it flesh out. I guess I’ll have to let the Monkey live a little while longer. Nipples huh? Nice…hehe ![]()
Uh oh, not this again :buttrock: .
Maybe this one will get finished? Remember, I know how ‘busy’ you really are…:wavey: :wavey:
I dont know man the head looks a lil small other than that looking good not sure about the feet but then again feet are hard to tell until finished keep going man i knwo time sucks for both of us
That’s a good start Bentllama!
I would make him some longer arms more like a Yeti! That would be awesome!
Keep us posted you crazy canuck!
