questions about blender 2.5

I would like to get certified in blender for some possible instructional opportunuties and have downloaded blender 2.5 beta to start getting use to interface- i see this version has more more tailor made its look to attract more users from maya and 3dsmax school- which is okay- but the simple things like layout maniputaion seems to be gone ( ie MMB at edge of window for "split window " and “merge window” option- where is this function in blender 2.5-??

A lot of things have moved, changed or have been added in 2.5, and some things are still missing.

As for joining and splitting windows you can no longer click on an edge to split windows. This has changed to grabbing and dragging the handles in the Top-Right, and Bottom-Left Corners of the window. You drag into your window to split and you drag away, into another window to join.
