Question on figure proportions

#1

Hello guys. I’ve just picked up Loomis’s book and have been studying basic figures with the intention of learning to get proportions down with some decent degree of precision, and I’m wondering if anyone knows how ratios adjust when the proportion is changed, e.g. if I wanted to make an 8-head character into a 10-head, what stays consistent, what gets stretched out, and to what degree are they stretched in relation to each other (do the thighs stretch more than the calves, for instance)? I understand this isn’t done by simply elongating the whole figure but by adjusting different sections of the body but have no idea how to do so in a consistent, methodical way. Anything useful in this regard would be great, thanks!

You’ll commonly see 10head figures in fashion drawings, maybe look at those.
Plus I found this reference, don’t know how accurate this is though:
