question: how to save flash games

#1

is there anyway to save the flash games so i can play them offline?

#2

If it doesn’t need to access a server for tracking scores and such you should be able to just grab it from your browser’s cache. Just look fot the .swf file and save it somewhere. If you don’t have Macromedia Flash installed you will have to run it from within a browser.

#3

how u find the cache :stuck_out_tongue: sorry for my ignorants

#4

cache = temporary internet files

#5

If you’re using windows, go to your Internet Options control panel and click the Settings… button in the General panel. In the Settings… panel that opens up, click on View Files, which will open up your browser cache.

Hope this helps

#6

ok thanks for the help so far
when i save the game it only brings up the first screan. nothing links correctly so no buttons or anything works

#7

The game is probably built up of a few different swf files which are located in subdirectories. Unfortunately, once they’re in your cache, they are all in the same folder, so the links are broken.

#8

You know… they are probably in multiple bits to stop ppl doing exactly this.

#9

Lol, you’re probably right. I might start doing that when I build a flash site!

i just wanted to have it incase the site owner took it down cuz its fun and would suck if i cant play ne more:P
