I was wondering how the rgb color systemworkedin maya in relationship to the spectrum. I’m working maya 2012 and I am using rgb 0-1. My question is does maya use average wavelengths of red green and blue? Afterwards does it mix the wave lengths in terms of intensity. I’m just confused as in what the 0-1 decimal system actually does.

In normal color space, it’s just pure digital value from 0 to 255. Each pixel you see on screen has 3 values separately for r, g and b. I don’t think there’s anything complicating like wave lengths or anything.
