Blender has its own forum… link at the top of this forum.

Yes, goto View on the header in the 3D window, Add Background Pic and Load.

Hit 7,1 or 3 on the numpad after loading to get top front or side view. It only works when the view is alligned. Also play with the ‘Blend’ slider next to the load button to fade it in or out.

To import an image into blender as a Background hit the View button at the lower left corner of the 3d view.
Next hit Background image, and a box will pop up. hit the folder beside the text: “Image:” and locate your image.
Now your image will show up in front, side and front view.
The pictures size, transparency (blend) and offset can be edited in the same box. You can also use a texture as BG.
It is currently not possible to add different pictures to different views.

I think this should be explainable enough to help every blender user, from newbie to pro…

Certainly that is possible, I nowadays am shaping a head and have an image in every sight (that version using these) anyhow it is possible to add as texture in the publishing UV and work with the image that you have;)

Actually you can have more than one picture loaded at the same time, the point is that they should be on different windows. Then it is just a matter of using each windows for each view.

So, divide the main 3D window (right-click on the edges) into 4 sub-windows: Front. side, top, and perspective, and load each image into the corresponding window.
