Quadro k4000 worth it?

We are thinking about buying Quadro k4000s for our PCs or is a high end GTX 780 a better choice?

We use 3dsmax and vray

Go for the GTX 78. The difference in performance doesn’t justify the price in my opinion.
As for VRay - unless you use a GPU based renderer, there’s no influnce of the graphics card to the actual render speed, as it’s all handled by the CPU.

before dropping a boat load on either, i’ld get one of each and do your own internal testing to see which works for your teams.
