Naughty Dog is looking for a texture artist with varied experience working with CGFX shaders, cg visual FX, or look-development using other rendering/shading tools. A minimum of two years’ professional experience is required, with proficiency in Maya, Photoshop, and Bodypaint 3D or ZBrush. This full time, in-house position will involve using our proprietary shaders to texture interactive foreground objects such as guns, props and vehicles. Candidates should be comfortable with the whole spectrum of texture production; laying out efficient UVs and painting textures (by hand or photo-reference), using Maya’s surface sampler to create normal maps from high-resolution geometry, adjusting shader values & textures to achieve the believable appearance of real-world materials. The candidate should also be prepared to optimize shaders and textures as needed to get them within texture memory specifications. Candidates should expect to take a test using Maya shaders. Submitted portfolios must include samples of applicable professional work and breakdown of your contribution to the submitted material along with resume featuring references.
