Interesting. Have you any idea where to find the full edition?

Concerning the Ray tracing comment… I think with out talking about who uses which version of which algorithm, and which renderer is perfectly unbiased and which isnt (which are kind of time wasting debates as everything except Maxwell and maybe indigo is biased somehow), you could take my statement as something of a generalization that simply meant, “they both have a ray tracing feature”. Because the whole debate about Renderman versus ray tracing is kind of silly in my opinion.

No, because the last version I can remember was for Max 6. That was 2003 and 6 Max versions ago. Even if you could find it somewhere, you wouldn’t be able to get a license file to get it up and running.

I’m pretty sure that MaxMan Lite replaced MaxMan BMRT, which meant that you could use other free Renderman compliant renderers, not just BMRT.

But it’s all just theory anyway, because MaxMan no longer exists and you can’t get a license for it…

Ahh, oh well. I wonder if Animal Logic would still sell a license with no support?
