Projecting/grid warping an image on face

I am kinda new on Nuke and I was doing some compositing. I got a shot in which there is a man in front of projector but the projector is projecting nothing. My task is to show an image on the white board but the character is coming in front for the projection so obviously the image projected wont be same…it would be closer on character’s face. I have no 3d data and I have to do it on 2d only…any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks alot guys

I’d try an iDistort node, but this requires some kind of depth map.

If you just roto around the person and use that to mask a scaled up version of the projector graphic onto the person, that will get you most of the way there. then you probably just want to add a bit of distortion to the projection on the face, I would use a blurred version of the mask (to give you a very rough falloff from the centre to the edge) and a contrasted version of the face (to give it a bit of uneven wiggle) mix them together and use that as the UV channels on an I-Distort node. Its not accurate by any means but will probably look totally fine
