Thanks Steve. It’s a 2 year old dual 1.8 G5. Only using 1 processor though except for the fire plugin which has an option to use multiple processors. Tweaking some of the plugin settings makes a difference.

At first glance I thought it was a final work.
Excellent!
And also I love your colour scheme like a vintage magazines cover. ![]()
I agree, the lastest version looks almost final! Can’t wait to see your tweaks. Well done. I like the perspective, composition and colors that you used. Great modeling job on the Phoenix and feathers and hands. You guys are inspiring me to work more with Silo.
Looking forward to your next post. Again, congrats on your project.

Thanks for the comments!
Troy, give Silo a try. I’ve fought with several modelers
over the years until Silo came along. It just clicked with me and made modelling fun.

Here’s a link to my final image. Tweaked the composition, added smoke to a few of the feathers and included a few scarabs scurrying down the palm. Brian, I hope a link to the image is okay since it loses too much detail when compressing to meet the forum file size.
Whew, glad to be finished but sure learned a lot about Dante and Fire plugins. Anxious to see the other finished images.

Sorry about the link. Here it is:

great work Tim, another potential winner for me
I like a lot…
BUT 3 minutes 9 seconds!? this is not fair
(just kidding)
you should GI render it, I certainly want to see the GI result… also other paople…

regards,
Loon
agreed. GI render would be nice, just to see what difference this would make, but i think even without GI this is beatifull. very nice style.
Truly impressive work! I love the bold colors, perspective and smoke/fire details. Wow. Your machine rocks to kick this out in just over 3 minutes!
Great job.

I hear a religious drumbeat of the ancient times from the depths of the jungle.
So fabulous imaginary picture you made:thumbsup:
I think that this picture doesn`t need GI, because I love this mood like vintage magazines .
Thanks for the comments everyone. I’ll have to try GI but need to catch up on work now. Got too involved with this contest and let work slip some…back to the real world!
