Thanks a lot man!

Actual resolution is 6500 x 3432 px

For shapes, i use the pen tool… then a soft brush or hard brush for shading …
The “warp” tool and “liquify” filter comes in handy as well … especially for gradient shapes…
For soft area shadows … i use the “smudge” tool with varying brush sizes, softness and strength values …

Also, I use a mouse … for some reason i’m not able to use a wacom properly … though i know the result will be much better …
I don’t have a steady hand, so working with the mouse helps me get the desired curve just the way i want it. However, It is quite tedious though … but i’m so use to it now :slight_smile:

More changes … again :expressionless: … i’m not sure whether that shape might need a few more tweaks … or maybe i’ll just leave it the way it is …

Anyways … extra objects added to complete that section …
As i proceed with each element … i’m also experimenting with details side by side …

Facing a major block … i’m totally blank as to how i can make this interesting …

However … i’m taking it slow … trying to figure out ways to balance this section and not get pulled into heavy detailing.

The face is really important … even though that’s a small part, it should be strong enough to grab attention.

So, in this new update, i’ve done away with the previous element(s) …
this should now give me some direction …

back to experimenting!

Things are slowly coming together … although it took nearly a day to figure out what could be worked out… Which included shutting down my pc … going out for a long walk …

Then experimented with a few shapes … had to redo a lot … delete … and finally came down to this …

I’m quite satisfied with the form and highlights … however … not too happy with the overdose of blue
(top surface) :\ …

Back to 3dsmax for some rough modeling and light setup …

This will help me with the overall form and shading. Later on, extra objects will be added to break the smooth flow.
