Animal Logic is recognised as Australia’s leading digital effects and animation studio and is counted amongst the top 10 visual effects companies in the world.

  We are currently looking for a Production Engineer who is available now.

  Production Engineers are responsible for creating the tools, processes, and resources to support the technical production workflow within a heterogenous computing environment.

  As the ‘glue’ between production and technical operations, Production Engineers will focus on taking the initiative to improve production efficiency by resolving technical production issues, looking for opportunities to improve the technical production pipeline and responding to other production needs in a timely manner.  

  To be successful in this position, candidates must have:

[li]In-depth knowledge of infrastructure and digital production architectures, and individual component relationships within an architecture; accompanied by a broad knowledge of other technical areas, such as networking and security.

[li]Experience in writing, implementing and supporting a wide variety of software and hardware systems including system monitoring tools and software scripts.
[/li][/ul]
[ul]
[li]Strong ability in shell scripting and one or more programming languages, such as Perl, Java or C++.
[/li][/ul]
[ul]
[li]Very strong hands-on technical ability.
[/li][/ul]
[ul]
[li]Expertise in hardware and software systems tuning and trouble shooting.
[/li][/ul]
[ul]
[li]Bachelor of Science/Master of Science or equivalent knowledge and experience, that is in Computer Science, Computer Engineering and/or Information Engineering.
[/li][/ul]
[ul]
[li]Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
[/li][/ul]
[ul]
[li]Ability to multi-task, prioritise and problem solve.
