Procedural Trees Or other

#1

Hello All,

I am in search of fecundation knowledge for a quick jump start and was hoping I could find a stronger direction here than whats been turning up on google.

I am curious to undergo a project to generate procedural a tree or landscape, perhaps based on some recursive function like the Fibonacci numbers. The thing is, I am not totally, but still a bit of a novice in these things and I am not even entirely which language, API or IDE I should be gunning for.

I want to tackle this swiftly more than anything else, but I am just not too sure where to start. So, any guidance? Or if I need to explain a little better let me know.

Also am a bit familiar with some basics from OpenGL if that helps.

There’s a book called Texturing and Modelling - a Procedural Approach.
Buy it, and start from page one
