Problems with light on rhino

#1

Hi people! i’ve been member of cg for quite long time, but this is my first post

I’m having troubles with my rectangular light on rhino… I dont know what’s going on, i just click on add light , i draw the rectangle, and everything well, but when i render with vray the light just goes black, i change the color, the multiplier, but still the light doesnt show! i dont know why…

I spin th light 180 degrees and it doesnt apper at all, but spin it again 180 and the only thing that appears is a black rectangle… I checked that ON was checked and still the same, i uncheck no decay and still the same… why this is happening? any help is HIGHLY appreciated! thanks already guys! greetings from costa rica!

In the global switches section of vray check the lighting boxes. Turn off lights or default lights I cant remember. This might help.

Hello! hey thanks so much for a quick response, but is so weird, I just did what you suggested, but is not working, but trying loading configurations this is what happend, when i restore de default values the light does not work, but when I load gi_qmc_lc_high.visopt (wich comes with rhino) the light works fine, but I don´t like the final result cuz is not what I look for, I don´t understand what happens… wich configuration could be the one who makes light work, cuz I tried coping the global swatches from gi_qmc_lc_high.visopt into default, but it does not work, i think should be something in the other tabs, but there´s too many options and I don´t know wich is :frowning: heelppp plz :S
