Problems with Intuos 4 and Painter IX.5

Hi all.
Yesterday I received my new Intuos 4 S.
Following the advices by John Derry, I am trying to map the most useful functions of Painter IX.5 to the TouchRing and the Express keys. Until now I found two major problems:

  1. Touch ring and Brush size. Mapping the two direction of the ring to the [ and ] keys to modify the brush size, it only works for increasing the brush size, but not for decreasing it. It’s strange, because by directly using the same keys with the keyboard works as expected.
  2. Kerry explains why it is not possible to directly map the ring to the Rotate canvas function, so it says to map instead one of the Express keys. I tried, but the rotation is not smooth, much worse than by directly using [ALT]+Spacebar

Do you have any advice to solve the problems? Does the Intuos 4 work better with more recent versions of Painter?
