Problem with showing background plate through glass object

#1

Hi Guys,

I have a sample scene where I want to put a transparent glass object and want to have the background plate visible through that object. I know I can do this in post, but I need to do it inside 3ds Max.

Below you can find the screenshot of my settings and the scene. (The environment/reflection map is different from background).

There is no background showing through glass object. It has normals flipped. I can see the background when I switch to thin-walled object, but its not what I need - i want refraction, but no luck with solid glass objects.

Any ideas on what I could have missed?

Thank you in advance.
