PILOT: PRIS -03
The PRIS -03 model is a combat upgrade version of the PRIS -01 pleasure synthetic after it proved so effective in the syn people populist rebellion in the early 2050’s. As part of the negotiated settlement at the conclusion of the conflicts a process was initiated to address grievances, culminating in the United Planets Supreme Court conferring synthetic human rights on all syns and digital intelligence’s in a historic ruling in 2055, the main decree being extension of obsolescence to 27 years and a review to possible full human status dependent on behavioural outcomes
The PRIS -03 is normally assigned to near planet superiority fighter roles, being able to sustain high G forces and maintain focus in intense conflict situations. Syns in combat have a proven record of fearlessness, aggressive engagement and tactical and reflexive awareness. Current units are deployed in the Valhalla Gate and Ombollo planetary systems flying Valkyrie near planet interceptors. These fighters operate both inter atmosphere in close defense roles and interplanetary combat missions.
Typically equipped with a personal flight system and defense weapon for on planet use when separated from the ship. The flight system is based around the Teledyne Field Effect Jump boots which give hover ability to 100m and speeds up to 80km/h. The control system is based on a torso controlled sense system built into the flight suit which gives unparalleled directional response and intuitive control. The personal armament is only issued for close support missions in the event of shoot down and evasion. Typically the Krupps heavy smoothbore is issued but many pilots carry a small needle gun for self defense.
