[font=Trebuchet MS][/font][font=Trebuchet MS]Working under the guidance and direction of the Series Director, t[/font][font=Trebuchet MS]he Previz/Digital Layout Lead is responsible for executing the cinematographic aspects of the CG TV series and oversees a team of previz/Layout artists to create camera compositions and determine rough character timing to pre-visualize shots. [/font]
[font=Trebuchet MS][/font][font=Trebuchet MS]Based on the [/font][font=Trebuchet MS]verbal descriptions of a scene from the Series Director, the Layout lead establishes [/font][font=Trebuchet MS]character blocking, camera positioning, and camera movement. He coaches and guides the layout team to execute quality previz/layout for the project and insures that the Series Director’s direction is realized in addition to working on his own shots. [/font]

[font=Trebuchet MS][/font][font=Trebuchet MS][/font][font=Trebuchet MS]The duties of the [/font][font=Trebuchet MS]3D Previz/ Digital Layout Lead [/font][font=Trebuchet MS]are both technical and supervisory, comprising the following responsibilities[/font][font=Trebuchet MS]:[/font][font=Trebuchet MS][/font]

[li][font=Trebuchet MS]Oversees, manages and provides leadership and encouragement to the previz/layout team.[/font]
[/li][li][font=Trebuchet MS]Distributes the work flow according to team strengths and ability in conference with the Line Producer.[/font]
[/li][li]Helps his team trouble shoot any problems on their shots and is responsible for insuring visual and acting continuity within the scene.
[/li][li][font=Trebuchet MS]Maximizes professionalism and productivity of team.[/font]
[/li][li]Provides mentoring and training by being a Lead by example.
[/li][li][font=Trebuchet MS]Works in collaboration with the Line Producer and Production Coordinator to ensure shot delivery remains on schedule.[/font]
[/li][li][font=Trebuchet MS]Has the ability to create rough models and environments for pre-visualization.[/font]
[/li][li][font=Trebuchet MS]Has excellent organizational and Asset Management skills.[/font]
[/li][li][font=Trebuchet MS]Has the ability to work under pressure in addition to implementing changes based on input from multiple sources.[/font]

[font=Trebuchet MS]The Digital [/font][font=Trebuchet MS]Layout Lead [/font][font=Trebuchet MS]must have prior experience in this role and must be able to manage large group effectively to deliver quality previsualization within tight production deadlines. Previous involvement in episodic television work is a strong advantage. The Digital [/font][font=Trebuchet MS]Layout Lead must possess solid technical knowledge in Maya, have strong communication skills and have a critical eye for guiding the quality of the previz/layout.[/font]
