Praying Chipmunk

Hello there guys.

Was hoping you could give me some comments on this animation I’m working on.

I have gone through the poses already, working in stepped mode and I have gone through the lipsync using linear curves. Then when I was satisfied with the poses and the inbetweens and such I converted everything except for the facial controllers to clamped curves. I then proceeded to smooth everything out and tweak, I have yet to go into final smoothing with the curves though, I havent fiddled with the curves much yet but am gonna go into that soon. Would like to keep that till the end. I was also wondering if I should do anything with the tail or just keep it relatively still. Also I was afraid that if I started moving it that it would take attention from the main character, because it’s so big.

I also have another short animation I did and I already made a post for that one but I am afraid it might have been lost in the new user post system. I haven’t worked on it at all since then, not sure if Im happy with how it turned out so I decided to give it a little rest and do something else for awhile, that is the animation above. If you guys could give me some comments on this one as well I would be very grateful.

Anyway I would love some comments, tips and critique!

Thanks.

Well, in both animation some geometry is overlapping with other parts of the body. Eg. The hands of the squirrel and the girls armpits

Thanks for the pointer.

I didnt notice it in the second video but I was aware of it in the chipmunk video. His hands are so short that I almost broke the rig just to force his hands together. I’ll look and see if I can fix it, I’m just afraid to ruin it but that is what save as is for. Thanks.
