Possible to remove scrubbing sound playback while capturing?

Ay,
I’m just about bordering insanity due to the audio scrubbing sound each time I do a capture and was wondering if it’s possible to disable it, though still get sound in your capture file?

I see no reason why XSI does this when no other 3D app I know of does it and I even can’t see a single reason for it to help in any way.

Is it possible? and if so, I’m eager to hear how.
