Hi all!

First thanks to everybody for sending emails with suggestions, bugs, gratz words, donations, etc, etc…
I’m working hard in poseman 2 (full python), working full in 2011 linux/win/osx (thanks to QT!!)

I would like to open this thread to discuss issues, bugs (when I start to release some alpha/betas), wishlist, critics, etc… etc…

Here poseman 2 new feature, multiple windows! :stuck_out_tongue: (cool to use with several characters)

Thanks for Poseman, it’s a great tool!

I might edit this post later but here’s what I had in mind:

  • a wrapper/proc to launch a specific character window (with its animation set) so I could easily put the ‘launch poseman with this specific character’ in the shelf with out having to find the character folder on my storage.

Ok berniebernie, it’s easy, just a “char to shelf” option like “Save to shelf” from maya :stuck_out_tongue: (now, in poseman 1.3.3 you can do it, look at the first lines of code, there is an example of how do it

Working in a new feature, subsections!
In this picture, you can view a section called MooM and several subsections: Eyebrows, Eyes, Mouth… you can use subsections for example to store a whole character in a section-tab…

That’s because I changed the poseman beta file name (module), I’ll fix that to avoid problems with different file names. Anyway you can edit the shelf button generated by poseman, changing the import PoseMan_UI with the filename. In your case:

import PoseMan_UI as pm reload(pm)
pmui = pm.PoseMan_UI(“T:/animation_kits/Project_001/Project_001/Project_001.pman”)

Error: ImportError: No module named PoseMan_UI

become:
import PoseManBeta_06 as pm reload(pm)
pmui = pm.PoseMan_UI(“T:/animation_kits/Project_001/Project_001/Project_001.pman”)

Error: ImportError: No module named PoseMan_UI

Anyway if the next time you get a error, give more details of the issue please :slight_smile:

Google code lists this as GPL v3 license.
But doesnt that require it to be free and open source?
The source code isn’t provided currently.

There are some issues with nested namespaces I’d like to fix, but since no source is available I’m unable.
