Polypaint issues after retopologizing

Hey guys,

Im having an issue with a mesh I retopoed and projected my details & polypaint onto. Where my previous hi res mesh had perfect polypainting and showed the material(mattcap white shaded) with all of my high res details. After sending these details and polypaint to my new mesh, the polypaint becomes chalky pastel colors. I loose my definition of color and details. If I turn off Colorize, my model looks perfectly fine with its high res detail intact. If I apply a texture it looks great with the texture. But if I turn that texture into a polypaint it blurs and fades significantly similar to the chalk material in Zbrush.

Another note, with colorize on, if I change materials, there is no visible change in specularity on the model. Colorize off, it acts normally when changing materials.

Any thoughts? If needed I can post images when i get back to my PC.
