polygon normals soft or hard ingame?

or can you decide yourself?
i would like to know that because i made a model wich shows artifacts in soft mode but not in hard

If I understand you question, my answer is Soft. Hard edges generally require the game to break the model up into a great many vertices, which can render very slowly.

In our game engine, I’ve had a few objects here and there that show to have artifacts in Maya, but they don’t show in the engine, so you may be OK, but if that ends up to be the case, you probably will want to take an ingame screenshot, instead of one from Maya.
