Never used Messiah before or really know anything about it but at $40 I’m going to learn it
Any other software packages wanting to follow their lead can be my guest!

@phil: yeah, firebug is a really useful tool. it’s one of my favourite internet tools ![]()
you can fill up the bar with the value of 96.997% (without breaking the bar) - so the tip is worth 3.003%
Ordered second one …jsut to help things to move … even 80 usd for this app isnt much …
go go go…
Just as a side note to people showing mistrust and thinking this might be some kind of scam:
this is all the rage now, haven’t you noticed GROUPON. It’s exactly the same thing.
Once the goal is met everyone get’s the discount, if it’s not simple refund.
Good move from them.
Just not sure what I would with it. Maybe I’ll take a look, it might be the software I never looked at, but was just right for me.
Since the topic has come around again and many are purchasing simply on the general principle of having this license: since (as of this moment) pmG allows license transfer, there could be a clearing house for “scholarships” into Messiah for hard-charging students or atelier projects of your choice that need to capitalize a workgroup.
::::: Opera :::::
Thanks for the tip! I just ordered the 40$ version. I’ve never used messiah before, but for this price I’m going to learn it.
Getting to that last, little inch seems to be taking forever! C’mon little, green bar!!! Don’t quit on us now!
:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
Did that already. Helping a friend in need with a late paycheck , so he’ll be a happy messiah user too
Just registered over at Setup tab, and downloaded the Messiah 5 full version in anticipation of the bar reaching 100% soon. I figured I’d better grab it now before the onslaught happens when the goal is reached…and 1000’s of new users are bogging down the server trying to download it.
Is there a difference between the download at setup tab and the one on PmG’s download page?
just a lil something i found on the source page…we are at 89 now.

<marquee scrolldelay=200 loop=2><strong>New Name Added! </strong>We thought it would be interesting for people to see some celebrity names who have purchased. (Not celebrities, but just celebrity names. See if you notice a theme with any of them) - Janet Jackson, James Taylor, Andrew Jackson (back from the grave?), Howard Jones, Michael Scott (from “The Office” ?), Steven Tyler and wow <strong> Glen Campbell</strong> too (Country pop star). Just something to brighten your day while we wait.

I like these…Slogan 0 is too funny!
“// Random Slogan generator
var Slogan=new Array()
Slogan[0] = “*Not yet a subsidiary of Autodesk.”;
Slogan[1] = “*Because slogans are so last year.”;
Slogan[2] = “*Delete not, lest you, too, be deleted.”;
Slogan[3] = “*Revolutionizing the recently revolutionized 3D industry!”;
Slogan[4] = “*Now with 86% More Wow!”;
Slogan[5] = “*The most well-known secret weapon in the animation industry!”;
Slogan[6] = “*Proving that some sequels are better than the original!”;”
for the full version before the storm:

when you run it, an invalid hardware key msg appears then the license utility pops up so you can generate a portable license based on your usb. i figure by monday or tuesday the fun will begin.
In for 1 copy of Pro and spammed a few friends, thanks for sharing.
Never really looked into Messiah before, so I guess the purpose of the promotion is working.
Bought Pro.
lol… this is like a Groupon thingy for software. If only Autodesk would get in the mood.
Could this offer be an indication of the last version to be made ? If it is, it could mean that the money that is invested is going into developing a new application. If the sales of Messiah have been poor it may well be a last ditch effort to recoup their loses and follow a new road but whatever happens we are getting Messiah for a massively reduced price which just happens to be some nice software if ‘we’ the user can find a use for it in our work/pipeline.
If all that is the case, we might just see this software being given away free on 3D World Magazine or 3D Artist Magazine this time next year. ( or perhaps sooner ).
Who knows, but if anyone remembers Life Forms http://www.charactermotion.com/products/lifeforms/index.html a version of this was given away back in 2003 on their disks ( full version ) which also happens to have history of being used for the production of Terminator 2.
