Please Help - Texture or Rendering error

Hello all,

I’ve just about finished my architectural visualization project but am having difficulties when I render the scene at high resolution (HD 1080). I’m using maya 2011 with Mental Ray. My tree bark comes out with all kinds of weird artifacts for some reason, any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank in advance!

I am using final gather, ambient occolusion, a physical sun (no specular) and HDR reflections. My samples are at 0-3.

Are your trees 2D or 3D…? What is the shader setup on them?

the trees are 3-d - they are the “Kayaki tree park” model from the visor. The shaders are all standard (whatever maya built into them). I had not had a problem with the trees until I rendered at a high res. Thank you for the response
