Plankton's Webisode 5

#1

Hi,
For those interested PlanktonInvasion Webisode 5 is (finally) finished and online. here
This adventure is followed through the sergeant’s point of view and to visualize it, I tried something different by keeping the entire webisode in just one shot… seemed like an interesting plan but I quickly realised that this would not be easier than a 60 shot webisode  I worked for about 4 weeks on this one.

The first contest winning webisode is half way production and will air early August.
( First I’ll go on holiday to rest a bit
Anyway, I hope you guys like “Making the call”
Feedback and comments are always welcome.

Grts,
Joeri and the planktonic squadron

Wow, that was a great animation to watch, congrats ! :bounce: :bounce:
While i was there iwatched the other episodes too and it has been a very funny moment to see your heroes.
Is it a project for an animated serie ?
If it is, i hope you’re going to find a producer and do a lot of episodes like the ones there is already on your website !

Cheers,
Laurent aka Tartiflette

Great character and very funny too. Awesome in my book, especially since you’re going through the effort of involving the online community.
What I like most though is the styling of the whole thing.
And please don’t try to disguise your absence as “a holiday to rest a bit”: we all know the Gentse Feesten in Belgium are coming up soon

I noticed you guys use Fprime.
Did you find rendering through FPrime absolutely necessary for this kind of project, or just useful because of its speed ?
And was the loss of post-process filters not a hurdle ? Like for example not being able to add a bloomeffect.
Just wondering.
