Plan for using QOTRM models on FXWARS (Lets talk!)- HEAD COUNT/ STORYBOARD

#1

Ok as some of you know I want to continue this challenge at the
FXWars forum. I have spoken with the mods from the Rigging
and Animation forums to run their own challenges with any assets we provide.

This is my original plan, please if there are any holes on it, or you have better ideas foir this sort of thing , and or objections do reply to this thread.

So if you guys want to see your model rigged and maybe animated
You may:

  1. Form you own team using your own assets
  2. And/ Or share you assets*,so others might use them

*So for those who wish to share theit assets
please:

For each of the models you wish to share please do the following:

  1. Write a text document with the following text:
    "“Lighthouse model
    © 2009 YOUR NAME
This models are not being put on the public domain.
They were specifically created for this mini challenge.”

  2. Compress and Encrypt the model using a password along with its text file.

  3. Upload the model in a web server. If you dont have like savefile.com

  4. Create a 200X 200 still of the model

Here is how the process will work
I will list
Small thumbnails (200x200) with each of the models that will be avaialble

The model will be hosted in a 3rs party server like savefile.com.
The password will be provided y the creator AFTER the artist post a WIP thread via PM.

What do you guys think?

I plan to finish my model, rig it and animate it with a friend. However, if anyone else would like to use it then please feel free.

Created in MAYA, if you want an OBJ to use in another application then PM me. I haven’t textured it yet, but I intend to, so let me know if you want whatever textures I create later on.

Same here, I need to finish my model and get it rigged and ready. I’m not sure if it will be in a usable format by anyone but me when I’m finished but we’ll see.

The model was done in 3ds max but I also did an obj export in the folder. The lighting and materials are vray lights and materials.

I broke my airship model out into some individual models that might interest people. The models were created in 3DSMax 2008 and rendered with mental ray. I also exported an .obj with maya presets (although should be fine for any program). The models are untextured.

Click on the image to download the model. I will provide passwords via PM messages once the challenge officially starts.
