Pixelspell -- Alberto motion tests

#1

Hi,

here are some tests I did with the ‘Alberto’ character for the upcoming Pixelspell short ‘La Cucaracha’ in Cinema 4d 8.5 and Motionbuilder 5.5.

The first one is a lipsync test with some Posemixer-driven bump maps in the layer shader for additional animated wrinkels in the face.

The second one is Motionbuilder’s famous ‘kicks’ clip mapped on Alberto. I added some secondary motion with XPresso in Cinema.

The motionblur in both animations is done with the RealSmart Motionblur plugin for After Effects.

Have fun and tell me what you think!

great work

I especially like the driven textures in the faceanim and the fact that you let him jump arround like bruce lee in his best days

some crits:

faceanim:
the o a the end could be more closed like a o … seems to open
there is an awfull deformation of the armpit in the anim

kung-fu:
the last jump is a bit too slow - would be more realistic if you would speed it up just a bit.
you did great work on the mass - he looks really heavy
also the bellyjiggle is great

now as I look at it aggain the belly jiggle seems a bitt too much - it moves to nervouse. also it forms into a very pointy shape at the bottom.
make it a bit more round and move slower and more delayed too show its weight better - its fat not water
