PhotoShop CS4 Keyboard Shortcuts for Painter11

Hey folks,

I’ve been a lurker here for a long time and have been inspired by the creativity and inventiveness of so many members that I now want to give a little back.

I work 16 hours a day bouncing back and forth between Painter & PhotoShop, so to help make things faster, I transferred almost all PhotoShop CS4’s keyboard shortcuts over to Painter11. I also added a shortcut to bounce back and forth between straight line strokes and freehand strokes, a shortcut to bring brush variants back to their defaults, and a shortcut to commit transformations.

All the major PS CS4 shortcuts are in this file, but you might want to tweak it yourself to add anything I missed or to better suit your own working methods.

Since I can’t yet post attachments, here’s a link to the ZIP file on my homesite. The file is a .PKS file, and all you have to do is unzip it, copy it to your C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Corel\Painter 11… folder (that’s my specific location, yours might be different). Then open Painter and go to: Edit\Preferences\Customize Keys…; hit the Open icon, find the file, and hit the OK button at the bottom of the window.
