Firstly we would like to say good luck to those seeking a good project to join or guys seeking employment; or any others who are working on a project.
We are currently seeking to bring new members to our team of game developers; where we are at the stage of putting together the main pieces of our game.
This is a project where we all work in our spare time unpaid; but look forward to seeing the game finished; and experiencing great recognition.
Team name:
E-team
Project name:
Spacecrafts

Brief description:
This project is a science fiction RPG game set in the future; where the player must build their spacecraft, hire the space crew and progress towards mission completion and online warfare victory. The game will the old fashion top view scroll environment; however using quality 3d rendered / digitally painted sprites and objects. Plus it will include a special particle and environmental effects engine; to enhance the look.
As a team we are focusing more on the game play and fun making elements of the game more than the look of it; although we do have a set standard for its appearance.

Compensation:
After all beta releases are tested via public, a full version will be released for online purchase. Your pay will be determined by how well this full version sells. In general; the main prospect is of expanding the recognition of your talent to potentially hundreds maybe thousands of players and observers of the finished game. Until then; you will also be given a personal webpage on the website for you to use to promote your portfolio or work.
Target aim:
Increased team recognition and online digital sales of the game
Technology:
C++ - 2D Game with Online play for Windows.
Talent needed:
3D Modellers and 2D/3D Artists
3D Modellers:
Using your preferred 3D program, most of your stuff will need to be exported to PNG in top perspective. In some cases you will need to export to .3DS for the 2D designers render for stills.
The first main area that requires 3D modelling is the game sprites; including spacecrafts, characters and game objects. Since 3D modelling can be time consuming; we are in need of a sufficient number of modellers to handle the given task of making the spacecrafts and other objects in good time. Even if your experience isn't vast; as long as you are able to model and have modelled objects that we can see as an example of your talent; you are more than welcome to join us.
The second area requires models for level design; such as planets; buildings; space stations and other sci fi related scenery. Films such as Star Wars contain environments that our world is based upon; some areas will be almost 100% metal; others would be quite natural. All renders are needed in top perspective and some animation will be required such as lights flickering, gates opening and closing or machines working.
Artists:
Unfortunately as a team; we really lack members this department the most.
Firstly we are in great need of artists to help with designing characters; spacecrafts and backgrounds. Photoshop or similar programs should be used to produce appealing designs and renders for the game. As a top view game; your 2D artwork can be showcased well in this game; and would help enhance the look of it. Artists who work on spacecrafts will need experience of texturing and painting techniques to help make the most of your time you spend on your work. We will require most work to be exported to PNG files in full color.
The second artistic area is of animation. We will require short animation loops of game sprites. 3-4 frame speech animations of 2D cell shaded characters will be needed for speech in the story. This animation will only be a portrait view of the characters faces. Your character portraits need to be appealing; funny looking where required; serious where needed and evil looking where needed. We have no set style for characters; but we had Anime style in mind.
We look forward to meeting you if you wish to join and prove to be capable of developing this game.
