Path To The Gothic Choir..., Raphael Lacoste (2D)

#117

The path in this picture reflects the path that I’m currently walking in my life. I can sense the feeling in this picture. The greys make me feel depressed and the little difference in color in the back is the little light in my life. Its crazy how well I connect with this.

Great imagination!

#133

Hi. Congratulations, simply awesome.
One question: I read in the cgsociety feature about this piece, that you used photoshop for the final image. ¿Do you ever use Painter? If you don´t, could you explain the reason for prefering photoshop?
thanks

#134

really a nice work~!

#135

Beautifullly atmospheric, as is much of your work. This image, and Raphael Lacoste in general, is the subject of today’s post (June 20) on lines and colors (permalink here).

I’ve been gazing at your image for quite some time, studying it…drinking it in. The ambiance, depth and incredible sense of mood exude a powerful sense of presence. I find myself wanting to peer around the trees and rocks to see what lies beyond. I want to know the secrets contained therein.

If Katie P. (Kha’tie to Uru fans) still works at Ubisoft, please tell her I said hello.
They are indeed lucky to have you there. This is truly inspired work!
