I’ve just saw the paste tool video on the luxo web site, looks cool but I have a question. Is it possible to paste objects (lets say some screws) along an other objet (a tube) so every screws are aligned according to the tube object normals. In the video they say you can constrain the position with an other object, but nothing about the orientation. I don’t see any “align normal” option in the paste tool tab too ^^

you would do that by using construction plane, basically construction plane will be aligned to normal and then objetc will be aligned to construction plane automatically. i made my script in this princible and works great. only downside would you need to apply screws or bolts one by one, yet way faster than manually aligning

Could you post your script? I tried this earlier and I couldn’t get it to work. What action centere are you using?

the thing is that you need to select something before, i believe it is auto action center
