Passionate Prelude

Looks good! I’d add more volume to nasolabial fold, as it looks a bit flat there. Also you could make the nose bones a bit more defined, where it meets the skull.
About poses, I myself want to study it, I’d check materials from animation, like these https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KsW3jGtmNtA&list=FLLHK1Nw-XmRWrPx0J77FjAg&index=4
Also there’s posing for photos, I think it’s an interesting subject as well

And yeah, perhaps this book also has interesting points!

Mister3d, that lynda video was extremely helpful! I actually have a free account from them since I’m an instructor. Thanks for the video.

I made changes to the nose so you can see the bone, also I made the folds on the cheek a little bit meatier:

Textured all in Zbrush using Spotlight…

Thinking of doing a beauty shot with belt…

#13

These are looking great, I like your progress!

I think the laugh line might be too sharp for a neutral facial expression

#14

Hey Nick, I think I might have exaggerated a bit on it so I will have to do some smoothing out for the final mesh. Thanks for that observation!

#15

Beginning on a female sculpt in Zbrush, just doing the base mesh right now, quick sculpt:

#16

Cool female head, I like how you made the form. The body needs more work still. The man nasolabial fold looks like it was ironed - it should be smoother near the nose.

#17

Hi guys, I smoothed out the area around the laugh line where his lips is more of a neutral pose:

#18

I found time to work on the female again since I’ve been busy ever since school started again after Spring Break had to get my students back on track and stuff. Here’s what I have so far, any feedback is welcome!

Cloth is still rough…still have a lot of manipulation to do

I was messing around with different types of outfits she can wear, I might just stick with the dress! :

Doing multiple things at the same time…my Daredevil coming soon also…still working on getting the anatomy correct on this one

Great renders, really like them!

Thanks Leo…

#22

is it just me or the forum has been silent lately?
Anyhoo…here’s another thing I am working on. I’m doing multiple works by the way so I am still working on the last two sculpts I posted here… Took a break from Zbrush and I’m practicing on doing wrinkles in Mudbox. And who has the best wrinkles other than the guy from Breaking Bad… :buttrock: .I hate the hair right now…I will take this to Maya later on to do the hair…Feedback appreciated

#23

WOw ! … no bad sides for me… just that I want to get to your level haha!

Keep up the good work!

#24

hehe…back then I wanted to get to this level too lol. But now I want to get to the level of some of my favorite 3d artists such as Frank Tzeng and Rafael Grassetti… I know they worked so hard to reach that level of skills…oooh practice, practice, practice

#25

Hehe yeah right…

#26

I made a some changes to the mouth area, made it a bit wider

I also made the hat for him

#27

I had a lot of time in my hands because it’s summer break, best thing about being a teacher, I still get to practice on 3D a lot. Here’s an update on my Walter:

#28

Done for now, kinda tired of looking at him
…here’s my Walter
