Particle loop?

#1

I’d like to use combustion to make a movie sequence of chimney smoke to use as an animated texture in Maya.

If I use one of the smoke presets for particles, how can I make an animated sequence which loops?

Secondly, is it a straightforward matter to render this with an alpha for use in Maya?

I did not understand because of the Loop in particles, if it will be able to explain. How much when rendering, it uses TGA, PNG, Quicktime any format that has supported alpha, creates a “transparent” composition

Yea thought the alpha should be straightforward enough.

It’s the looping animation that I could use assistance with (Vympel: so 1st frame = last frame and animation plays to infinity).

How much to the Loop I know what he is, I had not only understand because of it, he would not be better to adjust the Loop in the MAYA?

Wouldn’t you have trouble guaranteeing that all particles will be in the same place as the first frame and the last frame. Just thinking off the top of my head, I tried to do something similar for a steam engine and in the end I just had them spawning and fading away in time with the steam train sound.

Just some thoughts and hope the aussies whip the poms in the ashes.
