:applause::applause:

The close ups are wonderful! And now I can well understan how it was made - almost incredible! Don’t you think constructing that building would take a lot of patient and passion. Must have been one of your ancestors (or mine!)
I think this will stay my favourite pavillion for a long time

And really bad news about your boss… so I guess you will have to start playing music loud so the sound of typing doesn’t reach his ears :banghead:
You have my sympathies.

Loulu79 -> I know this one can be very disturbing, but I do many search in much documentation… and that seem to be near… I’ll just continue few tests for these tiles… but the spirit will keep near of that certainly…

Thanks mate

Yes… these two pavilions are already planed… the Mexico one was very big, not a very original design… but very large… situated at this other part of the bridge near the greek and swedish pavilion…
Due to its location, that will be the 23th I will do…

Before, I will do the one of the Peru… smaller than this one, just located behind the first raw of pavilion, juts behind the 15 first pavilion along the river seine.
A very nice one…

In this World’s Fair existed an another Latin américa Pavilion, more far than these previous ones… the one of Ecuador… located at the Eiffel Tower foot, smaller but very pretty as you can see. At this time, it was planed after the World’s Fair to move it in Ecuador, at Guayaquil, to become a bibliotheca… but for the moment, I don’t find any trace of it…

Thanks for words… that permit me to keep the motivation…

Maybe it’s the reason why I’m hill this morning… :scream:

Of course, for me too… and it’s easy to understand why some people adore it, and another hate it… we like or we doesn’t like… no average… just the swedish originality

#584

  • Transvaal…
  • San Marino…
  • Luxembourg…
  • and of course the most awaited… the one of Greece… Yeepeeeeee :bounce: I will be able to start it next week…

#586

Bien pour moi. Contiuant avec sa voyage!

#587

Well… now motivation here… I must recover some energy :scream:

I’ve planed two pavilions by month… the first of the second month is done since 1 week… I must start the second one… the Greek Pavilion.

Some photos and drawing… Dimi will be happy I hope…

For this one… my first “good” drawing as ref…

the close-ups really is nice to see… you really get the feeling how it look like…:bounce: and you done a very nice and a great work on that house…

Lemog… c’est grand… puits fait… :scream: être dans l’attente pour voir le repos…
and I hope that the translator got this right… so you understand… mon Français…

#592

the1st_angel -> Thanks for your words Sacha… and for the pic… hahaha… not funny… but very funny… very good for me this morning…
…and you know… there’s something for you in this Worlds’ Fair… the reconstruction of a switzerland part… in Paris :scream: … it’s named “le village suisse”… very impressive… just sorry, but It’s the ultimate part planed… in a couple of years…

Thanks Antone… it’s good to see you have much patience…

Hey hey Mona… your french is quiete understandable… huhu…
About the closer view of the swedish pavilion… than you very much…
…are you really that look very swedish or not ? one point I must correct, it’s the size of tiling… I trick a little beause I was afraid to have problems with rendering (moired ??? I don’t know the good word in english…)… I’ll certainly do more test… maybe…

Thanks a lot for your swedish advice miss

#593

A bit more about this Greek Pavilion… the front part… viewed of the River Seine…

#594

I guess I´m as good in french as you are in Swedish… haha… :stuck_out_tongue: and the tiling, a bit tricky Q:n I was not there when i happend  maybe the yearrings in the wood are a bit to dark… that´s the only thing that I can think of now… but this look is not common at houses in Sweden, I seen a few tiling like this tho, but more in “holiday cottages” … and they have been a bit greyshaded in due to the weather thru the years… but your pavilion is new so I guess that pretty close shade to newly cut wooden tiles

now I mean the lighter woodentiles, the most commen wood from Sweden was and are pine and spruce, and they has this light beige kind of color when it´s new… spruce gets a shade grey and pine a bit of brownish when it´s not treated with varnish and the weather wearing on it…

BTW… a long time ago, I worked with cutting down and perserve the forest… can you see the sight now… Lemog… me running around in the forest with a chainsaw… hahaha

#595

Morning Laurent !

Yay , Laurent est de nouveau sur tout les fronts en meme temps

Really awesome start on the greek pavilion … looks way more massive/heavy than the others … How , in one thread , gather so many style of architecture !!

Keep it up Môssieur Lemog !!

cheers ,

-Cadet

#596

Mona -> thanks for these good informations… that push me to do more tests soon…

Zapan -> Massive ? in fact not so much… this one is not very big… you will see when it will be at the middle of the swedish and the serbian pavilions… maybe I will do the serbian one just before this one…

#597

Hey Laurent,

you’ve got some great references for the Greek pavillon…and more important the motivation is obviously back again!
Nice start of this pavillon, can you resist the beautiful datails or will this one have a larger polycount:D ?!

Have a nice weekend!:wavey:

-sabrina

#598

The most detailed parts are inside this pavilion… a chance for me… it’s good for the final average…
