Thanks for the beautiful refs mate… about the roof… I can assure you that was really in wood… as I can read on many books of this World’s Fair…
I agree with you… copper was really common in europe i nthis time… but the Pavilion of your country was totally build in wood… at 100%… it’s visible on this photo as you can see :

I can do less for the Cg Swedish Community

All is covered with little tiles, little round, and painted…
I will try to do an close up today… but you know… it’s not made for very very close up… as I must manage details and texture size…

In these textures, there’s a little detail I’m not at 100% satisfied… even if I like the final look, I will try certainly something a little bit different, not much… to see if it’s better… and if we understand more that this pavilion was really in wood.

The majority of these renderings are made with a similar distance, it’s especially to set the scene with a similar distance than that will be in the final movie…

Clean… of course… but we must think to something, yes, we are in 1900… but this pavilion was built just before the expo… this pavilion is new… and the paint is new… only dry since few days certainly…

Hehe… thanks Diego… the luck is very important… but the most important in this project, it’s the work…
Well… you make me think to something, I didn’t remember if they’re a Brazilian Pavilion in this World’s Fair… I must see that… strange…

#564

Wow, Lolo, you’ve outdone yourself!

#565

And now… I also think to the next one… normally, I’ve planed to start the Greek Pavilion… but I’ve find ancient map on ebay… and I don’t receive them for the moment… I’m waiting the postman this morning… and again nothing, I will choose an another one while waiting… maybe the one of Monaca, just situated at the left of the Swedish pavilion…

VS

No Monaco’s girls and guys here for support ? :scream:

#566

Morning!

I understand well your description here - it must have been a way to show Sweden as the land of wood. Probably an important export at the time. Very creative!

Is the right picture the Greek one? It looks charming!
Good luck for deciding and have a good day, with the new boss … is he at the same office as you now? If so, that’s bad news

:wavey:

#567

can`t wait for the new Pavilion :bounce:

#568

Morning Gunie…
Yes… it was an important aspect of this one… wood… swedish culture… and sea…
(new renderings for you are done… just remain me to prepare pics and post… not easy here actually…)

No… the left one… at right the Monaco…

mmh… this new guy is just the room near mine… I think I will kill him soon… just that…

#569

hmm… no postman for me today… no choice for me today… I don’t like that… :scream: hahahaha… finally… today… no work for me

#570

hahaha atlast lemog can rest and we won`t be able to ask him to model anything today :bounce:

#571

Few close-up as asked by Gunie…

#572

Hey Lem! Nice to see you here again! You’re crazy man! You’re going to model a fragment of a town! Great! The models look very good! I’ll follow your work for sure! Good luck!

#573

Hey Laurent!:wavey:

A unique kind of texturing for a unique pavillon:thumbsup: .
I think you’ve converted the 100%-of-wood thing perfect with this texture…even the close-ups are looking convincing, nice details and you’ve choosen a beautiful solution for this round decoration on the front:applause: !
So you have a little break now while waiting for your reference material…not the worst thing I would say…I remember there’s a journey somewhere:D …

Have a nice day!

Hey mate… crazy ? of course, as many of us… thanks to have an interest to follow this project… but you must be patient Marco… I’m sure you will have much interest for the Italian Pavilion… planed in a couple of months…

Your words are really important for me… especially because I’m not satisfied at 100%

héhé… it’s already updated :scream:

#575

Breathtaking … again … even more ! coughs coughs
Jeez those swedish architects had such fresh eyes on buildings !

Awesome piece again Laurent …
The next one !! chop chop ! …

Cheers ,

-Cadet

#576

#578

Can’t wait to see the Italian Pavilion! I’ll stay tuned on this page!
Congrats, you’re doing really a good job!
