Hejdan Mona… always much pleasure to see the writen swedish… already beautiful, even if not was understandable… so pretty with all these ¨ and ° and (sorry my keyboard can’t do more…:scream: )

About this one, I’m very satisfied aout the numbre of polygons… very less than the two previous ones… good for the final average… I must have more of this kind of pavilion…

I have been following this thread for quite a while now but didnt wanna clog it up with more oohs and aahs though there certainly have been a few keyboards shortcircuited from drooling on them.
But now I have a question, this is a massive undertaking, I have seen some project redoing Minas Tirith and they worked with a map (topview) of the city and positioned the buildings they had done on it … so you had a good overview of the total and the progress.

Are you following sortoff the same method? Do you have a topview map where you can position on the buildings relative to each other?

#552

he maybe is a member of CG-Talk  heard they are all strange and nutty people :stuck_out_tongue:
and I have alot of this dots. I can share å ä ö… and back to buisness… that “backside” lady I talked to you about is really hard to reach… but I´m still trying… get back to you if I found anything out.

#553

Good question sir… and for now, the answer is “yes” and “no”…
Of course, I’ve many top maps of this world’s fair… and I use them much… especially I watch them much even… but I’m only in the very very beginning of this project, and remaim me much work to do… but I’ve planed to do something as you said… a large map and place each building on each good place…
…just that for the moment I don’t have much time to prepare that, because I must do an another clean map… something more usefull than the map of the 1900’s publications… and I’m waiting to have a little bit more buildings to do it… but that will come soon…

In any case, thanks for your question and your interest, you’re welcome.

I’m a bit late for the morning update… just a 2 hours meeting with the new big boss :scream:

Now the textures… of this Swedish Boat… all made in wood… in little tiles of colors… yellow-ochre-greeny for the walls… brown for the roof… and some little white touches… and of course, very important in this pavilion… the marins flags…

just droppin by to say hi and to congratulate you on continued great work

ps. knew it, screen just refreshed again and of course the dude got new pics up..

pps. i dunno , but looks like one of the flags (the big one) is upside down,

maybe they had different style flags back then

.

#556

I hope you appreciate the Swedish originality…

#557

Thanks Panu… It’s very kind to take a tour here during your moving mate… yes… I continue on the project… I hope to go to the Finland Pavilion at least

#558

So nice to see the pavillon with textures  but I think the roof’s should have copper instead
of tiles - buildings of this period and architecture often have copper roof here in Sweden.

its such a grand house… and you did in such grand style Lemog :bounce: very well done
I  it

#560

I hope you appreciate the Swedish originality…

Ohhh  That is really freaky! I’m proud of our ancestors

Is that wood? Lika a shingle panel painted in yellow? Or is it end cuttings of timber? :curious: I don’t think I’ve seen anything like it - way cool. Could you post a close up? And maybe one of the round decoration - it looks beautiful from a distance!

I think it’s so amazing… I actually think you can pull this thing off, stamina and passion like few
