in the case of my project, that seem 2009 will be not veru different than 2008… the project continue of course, even if I have many good contacts, many other associated project, for the moment, nothing to envisage a great change for my job…
… I will continue to work much… I will see… but already many expositions and films project, until 2009…
that will be hard, but I know it’s not possible to succeed without a little bit of work
Well… while waiting more and more updates here, I wish you all a very very Happy New Year 2009… with all what you want, all what you need… love… healt… money… friends… sextoys… hahaha…
a little card now… and always again thank you all for your giant support since start the project in 2006… mmmh… almost 3 years of work… and it’s far to be finished :argh: huhu
So, almost three years ey, I can still remember when you started this project… simply can’t believe it’s been that long. I must say, you have a unique ability to stay ispired by your project and seeing it through. Carry on as long as it takes, cgtalk will not be the same without your updates.
I went on holidays for 12 days and you built a city on that time haha, impressive new work man, congrats and happy new year, cheers, now that I’m back I’ll work on the Mafia Scene at last.
great work. I struggled model architecture. Is it ok if I see your wireframe? are you using polygon?
if you check my modeling it’s too dense, because i am trying to keep the corner not sharp.
can you give me some opinion? do i have to always keep the corner into 3? you can check on the picture
thanks
I have attach my WIP modeling
hi again,
I really enjoy the way all of your participate in this collaboration. I wondering if there’re any space that I can join. I would love to join all of you and I need some guidance. I graduate school and i have some time to help.
Hope to hear someone
I saw the update man... that comes good... almost finished ?
yes polygons, I will post some snap shots this morning… promised…
I saw you rmodeling… for me, this technic about corner is useful only if you have many closer shots… very closer…
In my case, even if sometimes in the film the camera will be at 2 meters of walls… I think that will be good as I do… but it’s also need to arrange that while playing with textures… bump also make much, but moreover with setup render…
With all these points made… I can keep the harder edge… but there’s not only one good method. In my project, as I have tens of buildings, I can’t charge too much the modeling… I prefer used efficiently polygons for important details.
Thanks a lot for your wishes Jeff…
congrats to be always on the 3dvf homepage
As Dmaxer said, you can start your own thread… many people could give you some good advices for sure…
This project here is not collaborative even if it’s very long with many buildings and other things… it’s just an historical reconstruction project of the Paris 1900 world’s fair…
Thanks a lot Danny…
and congrats for you… I’ve noted you make much progress with your renders in your project… that’s great to see :applause:
the exit of the Vieux Paris (also entrance, but less used than the one at the other side, following the historical sense)… near the DeBilly footbridge (footbridge made for the 1900 exposition, and exist again actually…)
I just see your video , even now you get a great feeling of scale ,lots of nice detail you done . I must say Im looking forward to the day when this is all done . all the best mate
Thanks man, the modeling it’s closely to be done, just a few more building and objects and it’s done, for the texturing I need some more time but I’ll try to do it fast without sacrificing the quality, opposite getting it better.
