PARIS WORLD'S FAIR 1900 - 3d Reconstruction Project

#2881

It’s not a critic my friend, just totally true !
Of course, I’ve put quickly the water plane for this renderings… also the base of the Vieux Paris will be different…
But you have right to say it… often, at the end, I forget this kind of thing…

Thanks to stop here man

Morning Lolo,

more than good start on the theatre already:cool: ! Hehe, always when you show this construction work I have a vision of seeing you tinkering with wood and glue…I guess the feeling of creating is not so different - beside of not having these gluey fingers of course.

Have a nice day!

Absolutely right, it’s exactly my feeling when I work on this things… stronger than me… it’s my world !
But unfortunetely, I must manage anyways the weight of the scene… no bolt, no screw, no nails :hmm: huhuhu

Well… yesterday was not a good evening of work. I’ve starter the right wall with some news documents find saturday in a museum… and after a coupe of hours of work… I discover some bad photos I have, where was visibles some details very different… 2 hours for nothing finally…
…and of course… sadly, I’ve decided to go to the bed…

I was not totally in the good mood yesterday. Next friday, we organize as all years an open day in my company and I must do demo cessions during all the day for clients.
No much time to prepare that… well… I’m not sure of the success :curious:

Today, nothing very new to show… just another shoots of the theater, this time with the other parts… I hope tomorrow there’s new things…

#2884

Next step, part right of the theater… it started

#2885

Insane Lemog… I mean… your modelling skills are awesome! You must be every speed projects dream… How much time did it take you to model the theatre?

Also if I remember well you once told me that your lighting is fake GI… Is that correct? Is there any possible way of giving the light setup?

#2886

Morning Lolo!

So you are not looking forward to the “open day”, if you don’t find the time to prepare something, why not show them your work on the Expo-project:twisted: …should be impressive enough!

Good progress with the theater, I like the point of view in the last 2 pictures…like balancing somewhere on the construction:argh: …

Nice day for you!

Hello Lemog it’s been a long time since i posted in your thread. Just drop by to say that i still follow this thread with much interest. I’ve been looking to your latest models and they are fantastic as usual.
Keep the great work!!

#2888

It’s very a colossal work !
The renders are very good, very sweet and clean !

Good job lolo

#2889

Certainly around 3 hours for the structure…
But for the right wall… It’s unfortunetely the second version… less than 2 hours…
It’s not a so complicated modeling… but the longer part in this case is the study and how are the details, especially due tothe lack of documentation… I always lost many time.

In this case no GI for the wip… only simple maya Final Gathering… and occlusion pass…

Of course, it’s also a solution… huhu
Well… it’s finish now… a very tired day to show how I work… each demo was around 50-60 minutes… no time to drink or eat…
…and as you could imagine… no modeling cession yesterday evening !
(but I’ve anyway new renderings to show… about the thursday evening :scream: )

Hey Luis… thanks to be always here… glad to see you always appreciate this project… a bit long :surprised
huhu

Thanks Wazounet…
and well… for this project, it just remain me…

…many years of work :scream: hahaha… faut donc garder le moral ! ++

#2890

The last step…

The face front of the river Seine…

#2891

Hmmm, nice, but maybe you forgot the roof…:stuck_out_tongue:

Have a great weekend!

-sabrina

#2892

I am impatient to see the theatre finish.
You’re work is beatiful as usually.
++

#2893

Hello Sabie… the roof ?
you’ve right… especially with our rainy week :scream:
I don’t know if I will be able to work more on it this week… but I’ve anyway planed to finish all this part for the end of the month… possible… but… there’s also much texturing… even if it’s not very complicated in this case…
…nice week end for you my friend.

Hello Do’…
glad to see you’re always online…
I’m impatient to to see more of your Paris street… next week maybe ?
While waiting, bon week à toi également :wavey:

#2894

Hello Sabie… the roof ?
you’ve right… especially with our rainy week :scream:

Bring it over to Greece… Especially in my island for a couple of months more it will be just fine! The only thing that remains is to be renamed to Syros desert than to Syros island… :surprised

#2895

Really…
I remember one day I went to Santorin Island… under incredibles storms… with an hard rain during few hours ! not usual at first view ! :surprised

…I will do an update about the theater soon (certainly during the lunchbreak… :wise: )

#2896

Only for the pleasure… a new pic about the Eglise Saint-Julien des Ménestriers…

click on it for larger version

#2897

Now the first pics of the roof…

for the moment, face and back are totally symmetrical, but I don’t think that was like that. Only the front was saw in the expo, the back was in a Paris street… built with certainly less details…
…I will study that next evening…

It missed again much details to finish the roof…
…and the left part, with much strange buildings… the scene in this left part… I must work on it next evening too :wise:

And even if the inner details are not here yet, some renderings of the interior… to feel a little bit the atmospher :bounce:

#2898

The extraordinary thing about Cyclades is that we are watching from Syros all the islands around get completely wet and we still haven’t felt a single drop… Santorini is fantastic and has rains… Syros is also fantastic but no rains… Strange isn’t it? :bounce:

Great progress on the theatre! Can’t wait to see the video…

#2899

Morning Lolo!

Ah, now it has a roof:) !
And the view up to the roof construction is already spectacular!

Thanks for the render of the little chapell, it’s big enough now to appreciate the details …

Nice day for you!

-sabrina

#2900

Morning all

Yes, strange… but when I go to Santorini, people said that was made more of 50 years without rains ! :scream:

video… video… well now, I start the part most complicated… with a big lack of documentation…
…I’ve many problem to finish the left part of the theater… and I must stop a little, and start an another part to try to understande haox that was between… not easy :argh:
That risks to be longer than planed… no much work yesterday eveny… much photos watched… but without much polygons…

That remain low detailed in fact… but as I must manage the poly number, and I could’nt see all details on these old photos… I must find the good average :deal:

Nice day fo you… not sure about update today… or just ti show where I am, and especially where are the problems :wavey:
