Paralumino Announces Swage for the Electric Image Animation System

Paralumino Creative Studios is proud to announce the release of Swage, a new addition to the Paralumino line of geometry generation plug-ins for the Electric Image Animation System.
Designed as a path extrusion plug-in, Swage joins the ranks of Trestle, Scrim, Revolver and Braider as a part of Paraluminos core geometry line up. Though not intended as a complete replacement for a dedicated external modeler, the developers of Swage realized an internal modeling solution would help improve efficiency and speed for those tired of bouncing back and forth EIAS and another program. By using Swage and the rest of the Paralumino geometry series, EIAS users now have access to the following benefits:
- Rapid surface construction via path extrusion for both hard surface and organic forms.
- Guaranteed compatibility. No more import hassles.
- Control point animation capabilities.
- Improved workflow and speed.
- Automatic UV coordinate generation.
- Compatibility with a number of existing and future planned EIAS plug-ins.
- Path extrusion and automatic profile alignment features.
- Profile morphing.
- Transformation on path capabilities including rotating and scaling editors.
- Bevel generation.
- Non-destructive modeling capabilities that route one geometry plug-ins data into another.
In addition to Swages extrusion abilities, Paralumino has included an additional plug-in with every purchase of Swage called Runline. Runline analyzes input source curves and breaks them up into dashed, user defined segments. These segments, when fed into Swage, are extruded and can be animated along the path by keyframing Runlines phase attributes. Together with Braider, Runline and Swage can produce custom geometry that would be difficult to model using traditional means.
