Painting Weight Prob (The Straggling Vert)

Hey all!

Had a prob when I’m painting the weights on the hands – Even though the influence is flooded quite heavily on what I want to be weighted— when I move the hand to check, there is this one very that seems to be attached somewhere else. SEE ATTACHED PICS

And when I move it.

Now – I checked all the joints on the hand and up the arm. An nothing is touching that vert, cept for the main hand joint.

How do I check a individual verts influence to make sure it’s exactly where I want? Thanks!

select the vert, open the component editor and open the smooth skin tab to directly edit the skinCluster weights on that vert.

try “normalize weights”.

You can also try using the “Prune Small Weights” tool.
