Ok it works now, I gave it a try, brush ghosting seems slower than ever although it is much more “functional” as in it has more functions. Edit:After more tests I disable brush ghosting and the speed is very good I’m impressed! Brush ghosting is useless to me so it’s not a bother, still there’s much work to be done.

I read what was updated and none of it is of my interest what about fixing zooming like on Painter 6 or other graphics application? You know 25%,50%, 100%, Corel Painter zooms to odd values like its shown here, btw Painter crashed while I was testing Painter on this image, the canvas was 2000x2600@300 dpi one layer:

There stiull isn’t any link to the updaate at the Corel site. Why choos this venue for announcing the update? It doesn’t seem to be a way to get the announcement to all registeres Painter users.

For what it’s worth, Painter IX and X use the same Zoom levels (when you use Cmd/Ctrl-[ or -]) as Photoshop: 2/3, 1/2, 1/4, 1/6, 1/8, 1/12, 1/16, 1/20, 1/25, 3/100, 2/100, 3/200, 1/100.

David…

I was jumping the gun and trying to get the update to folks ASAP, so I went this route…

There will be an announcement shortly from Corel regarding the update…

What I’m was saying is that every program (Photoshop, Opencanvas and Painter 6 prior to Corel clumsy work), uses “Ctrl+Space” click to +zoom and “Ctrl+Space+Alt” click to -zoom and they all go to optimal values by default. Customizing the keys didn’t work neither because it won’t register the stilus “click”.

I’m totaly lost why Corel would change the key combo for zooming for no good reason what so ever, it’s much easier to use “Ctrl+Space” than “Ctrl+/-” and it’s also compatible with Intuos 3 express keys. Just shows how bad and incompetent Corel interface designers are but thanks for the tip though

Thank you

Thanks for the info Steve,

The update fixed my “lost focus, not responding to keyboard input”.

This should be made a “sticky” at the top of this forum…
