painted character design

#1

This character design was done for an online art group I am a part of. There is no back ground in this version for masking purposes, but I have one in progress.

This design was more an exercise in freehand digital paint, I wanted to see if I could freehand in photoshop and painter as well as I could on paper, so there are some noticeable anatomy and weighting problems that I am aware of.

thanks for looking…

ar mor texture looks really cool. almost reminds me of an abalone…or whatever the shiny seashells are called  the hair is nice too. i think the face needs some m ore definition. looks kinda flat compared to the rest of the image. keep up the good work!

Nice work, Titan. Translating skills from conventional paper to completely digital is a challenge for sure, but you’ve definitely made a great stab at it. As you’ve noted, there are a few anatomy problems, but that is stuff that can be worked out. Good job!
