if i use the same marerial for several different objects,
and their UV’s are on different tiles of the grid,
should i create a different paint layer for each UV set, or use the same paint layer in mudbox for all of them?
because when having allot of different layers i get a ram warrning from mudbox so i was wondering

if you are working with more uv tiles mud will automatically create a texture for each tile and each layer… so you dont have to do this by hand…
but i would create for each object a seperat material…
hint:
the up arrow key is unloading the textures from the GPU ram…

and do you know what is easier for the computer?
multiple layers or one layer on multiple UVs?
