I’m new to rigging :eek: I wanted to remove weights from the coat which is influenced by the shin bone. I used “paint weights tool”(holding Ctrl)… but some of the vertex on the coat gets snapped to the grid. Don’t know why this happens.

They’re not actually snapping to the grid - they are jumping to the origin as they now have no controlling influence. You need to assign new influence(s) to those points - they can’t be controlled by “nothing”.

Please help me with this. I applied humanIK (skeleton menu -> humanIK). Snapped humanIK joints with joints in my rig. Assigned the controls of my rig to the points in the custom rig tab.
I used one of the mo-cap example as source but character is not moving. It remains in stance position.
