ART DIRECTOR - Utilizing traditional art training and knowledge of animation, design and computer graphics software, creates artistic concepts, art presentations and story board art. Works directly with Creative Dir. and Art Manager to help visualize and develop game designs. Sets/maintains the visual direction for art / animation on the product and design character prototypes and/or color schemes for art team to follow. Provides artistic direction and guidance to other artists or animators. May train art staff. Position brings high level of artistic / animation accomplishment and/or strong team leadership skills to the solution of artistic problems.

Qualifications/Education

[li]Art related college degree.
[/li][li]At least seven years industry experience
[/li][li]Proven track record of superior achievement on other software titles…
[/li][li]Fluent knowledge of at least one major 3D package (3DS MAX, Maya, Softimage).
[/li][li]Fluent knowledge of Premiere, After Effects, Combustion, or similar compositing software.
[/li][li]Experience with Adobe Photoshop, or comparable program.
[/li][li]Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

[b]SENIOR VISUAL FX ARTIST[/b] - Draw on strong artistic and technical skills to add dramatic flair to environments, characters, cinematics, and more through the creative use of effects. Help staff and lead a small group of artists to conceptualize and create visuals for next-gen platforms. Create effects to include rigid body dynamics, particles and shaders to simulate the effects of explosions, smoke, fire, steam, fog, rain, flowing water, etc., and create natural phenomena like leaves and debris flowing in the wind.

Qualifications/Education

[li]Art related college degree;
[/li][li]Strong traditional art/animation skills;
[/li][li]At least five years industry experience;
[/li][li]At least two years of applicable VFX experience;
[/li][li]Fluent knowledge of at least one major 3D package (3DS MAX, Maya, Softimage);
[/li][li]Fluent knowledge of Premiere, After Effects, Combustion, or similar compositing software;
[/li][li]Skilled in 3D graphics, particle systems, dynamics, shaders, etc.
[/li][li]Ability to quickly master proprietary tools and development processes;
[/li][li]Experience with Adobe Photoshop, or comparable program;
[/li][li][color=black]Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills[/color]
[/li][/ul]

SR. ENVIRONMENT ARTIST - This position requires a leader that can direct a team of level artists to ensure that the team is moving foward efficiently and that good practices are being followed. This person will help determine what these good practices are and also assist the Art Lead with determining and achieving the art style of the project.

Responsibilities

[li]Creates cohesive environmental content such as architectural buildings, signage, terrain, skies, and ecosystems and texture/normal maps and integrates them into the game engine.
[/li][li]Will assist Lead Artist to lead other level artists in achieving a cohesive look across all environments
[/li][li]Integrates assets into the game
[/li][li]Participates in visual comparison and critiques
[/li][li]Works within hardware limitations for project
[/li][li]Meets deadlines with proficiency
[/li][/ul]Qualification/Education
[ul]
[li]Art related college degree. (4 year degree recommended)
[/li][li]At least five years experience in a production environment, preferably in the game industry
[/li][li]In-depth understanding of all implemented 2D/3D art tools and plug-ins in the studio including Maya, Photoshop, AC|DSee, 3DMax, and Perforce.
[/li][li]Demonstrable experience designing, modeling, texturing, and lighting, levels/environment using 3DStudio Max and/or Maya, and ZBrush.
[/li][li]Experience writing tools with Mel
[/li][li]Understanding of proprietary tools and material shaders (ability to write rendering shaders a plus)
[/li][li]Understanding of visual effects production
[/li][li]Impressive portfolio: traditional art skills with good sense of design and an amazing attention to detail; strong painting and texture skills are a must;
[/li][li]Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills
[/li][li]Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, including ability to provide art critiques.
[/li][li]Ability and willingness to accept and follow direction, collaborate productively with others, and work to meet deadlines as necessary.
