Is there a way in Lightwave or a plugin that allows you to render out individual passes (reflection, specular, depth, etc.) as animation files to use in After Effects as individual layers.

In native LW you have, in Effects/Processing/Image Filter, Photoshop PSD Export, which export a series of layers, and Render Buffer Export, which exports several types of layers at your choice (you can see them first using Render Buffer View).
Commercially you have faulknermano’s Janus (http://janus.faulknermano.com/) and Jeremy’s Passport (http://www.lwpassport.com/)
