Out the Window:)

Hey guys I’ve been posting a few clips that I’ve been using as excersices at the hash forum, but figured I post here too…
Started out just messing with lighting a scene and wound up doing a quick animation.
Worked on this 2times, each about 20 min. At this point, I’ll probably leave it as is, but if you see something that might really make it kick, let me hear it!

I think the gag works well Mike. One suggestion though, it might look better if his arms thrash around quickly when he is trying to gain balance before he plummets. At the moment this section is a bit slow motion.
I like the evening lighting you have given the scene.
Oh, one other observation, why do some of the buildings have depth (perspective) and others don’t? Maybe it should be either one or the other.

Anyway, it’s nice see this character develop into some scenes.

I agree with the need for the arm ‘thrashing’ but for me it is - what is the motivation to start with? ie is he attempting to lean against the window?

Hey Pequod, thanks for taking a look!
I know exactly what you are saying with the arms… When I was keyframing it I thought it needed to be faster, but put it in the “lets see how it looks rendered first” and never came back to it.
I think I’m going to try a different action… I haven’t really animated in a while and I want to just make stuff with out sweating over it too much for a while:/

Hey Dave, thanks for the note!
We take up with the character who is presently looking at something that flies by the window… even though that thing is not in the animaiton… he gets caught up staring at it and next thing he knows… out the window!
