Orient constraint not working HELP!


i’m following a digital tutors course on character body rigging
and i am facing a problem with setting up the FK arm
i’ve already set up my IK arm and it’s pole vector and it’s working just fine but whenever i try to do an orient constraint from a locator to the shoulder or elbow joint it doesn’t work (the locator just turns around itself) and doesnt affect the arm whatsoever
i think it’s a constraint problem from other joints (i have a point constraint on the shoulder , a point constraint on the wrist and a pole vector on the IK handle ) but can’t find the solution by myself
if anyone can help me i’d really appreciate it .
